Personal Shopping Engine Will Offer Product Recommendations and

Direct Shopping Functionality on ELLE.com and other HFM U.S. Websites

NEW YORK, March 19, 2009 - Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. (HFM U.S.) today announced that it has formed a strategic partnership StyleFeeder, the personal shopping engine. Through the partnership with HFM U.S., StyleFeeder will provide ELLE.com visitors with personalized product recommendations as well as direct shopping functionality on ELLE.com and eventually on other HFM U.S. websites. As part of the agreement, HFM U.S. will exclusively handle advertising sales for StyleFeeder.

In phase two of the partnership rollout, StyleFeeder’s recommendation system and intelligent search engine will provide an integrated platform for personalized shopping on HFM U.S. sites that integrate the StyleFeeder functionality. This system will recommend products specifically for the individual and connect them with other online shoppers with similar preferences.
