05/19/2009

The 10-Part Series’ Themes Range from "Affordable Luxury" to “Fantasy Cars”

New York, N.Y. (May 18, 2009) – On May 19th Road & Track and their online partner Yahoo! Autos will launch “5-to-Drive,” a 10-part series with segments focusing on five cars that exemplify a given theme or topic. The first three - Convertibles, Affordable Luxury and Family-Friendly Fun (please see links below) - include videos hosted by Chris Leary who also can be found behind the mike on the Fox All Access radio show. The series on Yahoo! Autos is backed by additional text, photos and specs on RoadandTrack.com/5todrive. This is the latest production in a three-year editorial partnership between Road & Track and Yahoo! Autos.

Other “5-to-Drive” program segments will roll out weekly and include Fuel-Efficient Cars, Fantasy Cars, Luxury Cars, Safety Innovations, Inexpensive Fun, Future Classics and Fuel Efficiency of the Future. Shot in high definition, “5-to-Drive” presents a wide range of automobiles from the tire-smoking Mercedes-Benz SL65 Black Series to the futuristic Aptera 2e three-wheel electric. Road & Track editors chose the five cars for each segment based on their high worth to the consumer in the areas of value, performance, fun-factor, market interest, and, in many instances, versatility.
